God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all!
People: And also with you!
Minister:  Our help is in the name of the Lord!
People: Who made heaven and earth!

Singing of Praise: Psalm 145 "I Will Thee Praise My God, O King"

God Cleanses Us- We Confess and Receive Pardon of Sins

Call To Confession

Our Lord Jesus said: “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the
greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall
love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang
all the law and the prophets.” As God has instructed us in these great
commandments, and because we have not lived in full obedience, let
us now confess our sins to God, trusting Christ as our Savior and
Lord. —based on Matthew 22:37-40,

Prayer of Confession

Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred and strayed from
Your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices
and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Your holy
laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done;
And we have done those things which we ought not to have done;
And there is no health in us. O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable
offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those
who are penitent; According to Your promises declared unto mankind
in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O merciful Father, for His sake;
That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life; To the
glory of Your holy name. Amen.

Assurance And Declaration Of Pardon

Hear the words of comfort the Scripture says to all who truly turn to
Christ.
“Come unto me, all that labor and are heavy laden, and I w
ill give rest
(Mt. 11:28)
“It is a trustworthy statement, deserving of full acceptance that Christ
Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am the
foremost of all.” (2 Tim. 1:15)
“...If anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ
the righteous.” (1 Jn. 2:1)
Let each of you truly acknowledge that he is a sinner, humbling himself
before God and believe that the heavenly Father wills to be gracious
unto him in Jesus Christ.
To all who repent in this way, and look to Jesus Christ for their salvation,
I declare that the absolution (forgiveness) of sins is affected in
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Singing of Praise 51C No Sacrifice Dost Thou Desire

God Consecrates Us-We Hear And Respond To His Word

Prayer of Illumination

Minister: You shall have no other gods before me.
People: It is written: "Worship the Lord your God, and serve him
only."
Minister: You shall not make for yourself an idol.
People: God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and
in truth.
Minister: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.
People: "Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne;
or by the earth, for it is his footstool. . . . Let your 'Yes' be 'Yes', and
your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."
Minister: Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
People: The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So
the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.
Minister: Honor your father and your mother.
People: For God said, "Anyone who curses his father or mother must
be put to death."
Minister: You shall not murder.
People: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.
Minister: You shall not commit adultery.
People: Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed
adultery with her in his heart.
Minister: You shall not steal.
People: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery . . .
theft . . . . These are what make a man "unclean."
Minister: You shall not give false testimony.
People: For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. . . .
For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will
be condemned.
Minister: You shall not covet.
People: Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a
man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.

God Communes With Us - We Share In Christ’s Body

Confession of Faith

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under
Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to
hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended to
heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion
of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the
life everlasting. Amen. —Apostles’ Creed

Words of Institution

Prayer of Thanksgiving

Minister: The Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Minister: Lift up your hearts.
People: We lift them up to the Lord.
Minister: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
People: It is right for us to give thanks and praise.
Minister: With joy we praise you, Gracious God, for you created heaven and
earth, made us your image, and kept covenant with us-even when we
fell into sin. We give thanks for Jesus Christ, our Lord, who by his
life, death, and resurrection opened to us the way of everlasting life.
Therefore we join our voices with all the saints and angels and the
whole creation to proclaim the glory of your name.
People: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of Hosts; heaven and earth are
full of Thy glory: Glory Be to Thee, O Lord Most High. Amen.

We give thanks to God the Father that our Savior, Jesus Christ, before
He suffered, gave us this memorial of His sacrifice, until He comes
again. At His last supper, the Lord Jesus took bread, and when He had
given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for
you; do this in remembrance of me.” Therefore we proclaim our faith
as signed and sealed in this sacrament:
People: Christ has died.
Christ is risen.
Christ will come again.

Lord, our God, send your Holy Spirit so that this bread and cup may
be for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. May we and all
your saints be united with Christ and remain faithful in hope and love.
Gather your whole church, O Lord, into the glory of your kingdom.
We pray in the name of Jesus, Our father who art in heaven...Amen.

God Commissions Us - We March Out To Serve Him

People: “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according

have prepared in the presence of all peoples. a light for revelation to
the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.” The Song of

Holy Spirit, be among you and remain with you always.

Doxology

"Let God Be Praised With Reverence Deep" Blue Psalter 420 (vs. 5)

Let God be praised with reverence deep,
He daily comes our lives to steep
In bounties freely given.
God cares for us, our God is He;
Who would not fear His majesty
In earth as well as heaven.
Our God upholds us in the strife;
To us He grants eternal life,
And saves from desolation,
He hears the needy when they cry,
He saves their souls when death draws nigh,
This God is our salvation.
Glory be to the Father
and to the Son
and to the Holy Ghost
